Most of you are probably wondering how we made out after hurricane Irene, we had minimal damage to the crop and some damage to the fences surrounding the farm. Other than that we were very lucky, there are soo many others who lost everything in that one storm & we thank God everyday for protecting us and our family business!!
The Apple crop this year looks amazing and the trees are loaded with tons of juicy delicious apples!!
We have changed the location of the checkout booths; we are hoping that by eliminating the pedestrian traffic at checkout it will keep things moving and running smoothly!!
We also added a few more new items this year; A Kettle Corn stand, a pirate ship in the play area, new benches throughout the entertainment and store areas, & new educational signs.
Dont Forget about Farm Fest this weekend Sept 17th-18th
Weekend Children activities include: Hay rides, Pony Rides, Peddal Karts, Play area, petting zoo, Apple Cannon, & hay mounds to play on.
We are expecting nothing less than a spactacular season and hope you will all join in with the fun!!

Hello all;
Quick update for everyone… we are now open for U-Pick on Strawberries, & Raspberries!! We are getting near the end of our Strawberries but there are still a few out there to pick. Blueberries are starting to come out and are slowly getting sweeter and sweeter, & there are Lots of Raspberries to pick!! The bakery as always is open for homemade goodies & we are attending a few farmers markets if you cant make it out to our farm.

Well the time has finally come… time for juicy delicious Strawberries, super yummy homemade ice cream, mouthwatering homemade fudge, freshly pressed cider, freshly picked Asparagus, and much much more!!!
Our farm will be opening Thurs June 3rd at 9 am for the first U-Pick strawberries of the season. As the season progreses we will be adding Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, & more. Come visit us on the farm to pick some fresh fruit and as an added bonus you’ll get to experience a little bit of the farming lifestyle; you will see baby cows, sheep, goats & baby goats, horses & a baby draft horse, pigs, dogs, lots of farm equipment, & much more!!! There’s a play area, petting zoo, feeding machines, & fun game signs to help you learn while you play.
lots of entertainment for the whole family!!!
We at Bowman Orchards try very hard to make our farm a family fun environment yet also trying to educate the public about agriculture. we try to keep things as affordable as possible and strive to give people a good experience while enjoying the festivities of our farm!!

Well
the day finnally came; Bowman Orchards Belgain mare Lilly Finnally had her foal, a beautiful healthy baby girl Named Rosie.
After many days on foal watch the family had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the baby, on April 17th sometime between the hours of 3-6 AM Lilly Had her baby with none of the family members present to watch or assist. We were slightly bummed that we didnt get to see the birth, but were very greatful that everything went well and it was an easy delivery!! on Mon April 19th Lilly and Rosie were turned out for the first time since Rosie was born, Rosie was soo cute and just ran around and around trying out her new legs!!! Both Lilly & Rosie are doing GREAT… both happy & healthy!!

Our farm offers the opportunity for families to pick their own Fruits or choose from the fresh fruits already picked and waiting in our country store.
The farm opens in June (this year june 10th) for strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, & Blackberries. each small fruit comes out at different times so keep an eye out on our blog, website (www.bowmanorchards.com), and facebook page for updates on whats available for picking and when!!!
we have over 48 varrieties of juicy delicious apples that our customers are able to come and pick for themselves, or purchase in our country store. A few of these varrieties consist of; Macintosh, Honeycrisp, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, Jonagold, Braeburn, Ruby Jon, Fugi, Ambrosia, Cortland, NY 674, Empire, Greening, Granny Smith, Suncrisp, and many many more!!!
We have a country store with all sorts of arts, crafts, Fresh Fruits & veggies, Candy, Jams & Jellies, Honey, Maple products, pancake mixes, and much more.
We also have a Bakery with lots of homemade baked goods, ice cream, fudge, pies, candied apples, Our famous Apple Cider Donuts, plus all the exras!!!
In the fall we have our entertainment area open on weekends with Pony Rides, Hay Rides, An Apple Cannon, Peddal Carts, Childrens Play Area with small petting zoo. Lots of entertainment for the kids and a family fun environment!!!
